Bluejacking is the sending of messages using bluetooth. Mostly it is done on mobile phones or PDAs. Bluejacking allows a person to send unsolicitated messages to another bluetooth device.
Since bluetooth itself has a limited range of around 10 meters, bluejacking is usually carried on people in the nearby vicinity. This allows the bluejacker to observe the reaction of the person who has been bluejacked. And this is the fun part.
Bluejacking is harmless. It does not result in any loss of private information and does not allow access to the usage or the data on your bluetooth devices. Is this contrasted to bluesnarfing which simply means the hacking of a bluetooth device.
Therefore, bluejackers see this a a fun activities. They gain the thrill of seeing the startled face of the person who has been bluejacked. As for the person who has been bluejacked, many of them eventually become bluejackers themselves.

Clearwire (NASDAQ: CLWR) and Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) announced Wednesday that the companies will combine their broadband wireless units to create a $14.55 billion mobile wireless communications company to provide internet access, phone service, movies, games and a variety of other broadband wireless data services. The new company, which will retain Clearwire's name, will continue developing a mobile network based on WiMax technology, which promises much faster speeds than the latest 3g cellular networks.
